Freelance Work
During my years of designing, I have taken on a few freelance and/or pro-bono roles. These short-term projects have primarily revolved around branding and logo work.
Sensor Fusion and Monitoring Technologies
I created multiple iterations of a new logo for Sensor Fusion & Monitoring Technologies, a Bay Area-based sensor fusion company. I utilized their preferred brand colors, previous logo(s), and design elements derived from the company’s Bay Area roots. After crafting up a few iterations, I landed on a refreshed logo still using the Golden Gate Bridge and its burnt orange/red color to act as the “M” within the company acronym.
The SFMT team now uses my logo in updated branding and company sales and promotion, both in California and abroad.
Sociological Research Symposium
While at UC Berkeley, I worked with the Sociology Department to recreate and update their logo and branding for their annual Sociological Research Symposium. This process took place in 2019 and early 2020, with the symposium getting unfortunately cancelled due to the pandemic. This meant that my logos were not used, but this was still a good exercise in creating (and recreating) logos for a client, especially when there is already a brand identity and vision in place.
