Fair Trials
During the summer of 2020, I worked as a Research and Communications Assistant at Fair Trials, a global criminal justice watchdog organization advocating for rights such as the right to a fair trial. During my four months at the organization, I conducted research on criminal justice systems in the US and Europe, using my findings and Fair Trials’ existing work to create 20+ weekly posts for Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
In my role, I also created multiple ideations of graphics based on Fair Trials’ findings to accompany reports/press releases and for social media and publishing use. As a culmination of my research findings through the summer, I created a fact sheet showcasing my findings, particularly on the US criminal justice system. Working with my supervisor, I pinned down the most important and visually understandable statistics and created the data visualizations and the entire design format for the fact sheet to be shared across Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
