 House of Commons, UK Parliament

In 2019, I worked as a parliamentary intern for Dr. Lisa Cameron MP in the House of Commons. Among my tasks, I helped Dr. Cameron create a number of graphics for social media and publicity use. While my initial tasks were solely focused on press work representing Dr. Cameron and her constituency of East Kilbride, Strathaven, and Lesmahagow in Scotland, I shifted gears to a more design focus to better support Dr. Cameron’s social media presence and my existing press/communications work. *None of the photos were taken by me.

Social Media Quoted Graphics

I created a number of graphics for Dr. Cameron to post on her social media channels, usually featuring an approved photograph and quote from a debate. Many such graphics followed the same format and featured a title featuring Dr. Cameron’s opinion on x issue.

Event Flyers/Posters

In addition to graphics for social media usage, I made a few posters for Dr. Cameron, usually highlighting an event or her advice surgeries to her constituents. These graphics were generally ideated and built off of one another, keeping the format and photo consistent. Additionally, all featured a yellow color or two in reference to Dr. Cameron’s party, the Scottish National Party (SNP).

Misc. Promotional Material

In two instances, I created graphics to post on social media—an advisory for constituents to apply to the Winston Churchill Fellowship and a call looking for outstanding taxi drivers within the constituency to nominate for the 2019 Parliamentary Taxi and Private Hire Awards. For both, I used the same geometric patterns, font, and layout.
